I have EXCELLENT references. my website is: http://zoeva.biz I was a chef in my former career so if you are someone who likes to entertain and has a big kitchen, I would also be willing to trade my services, with appropriate notice. Ditto re: References.

Sound level comments:
I am not a TV watcher and I find it distracting to have it going all the time. I do not own a television. I do enjoy a variety of music, alternative, folkish bent, though I do like some hard rock. Classical is nice in the background and I am not a big Jazz fan unless it is older jazz. Classic rock is NOT a choice I make if listening to the radio. I enjoy OPB, talk shows with a bent, philosopy Talk, fresh Air, Ira Flatow, and much spoken word. I will listen quietly when I have free time. I am mindful of other people's distraction. Much of my work involves some degree of concentration so I don't play much music. I enjoy having conversation going on around me though not Drama. I like to engage in conversation, though I am generally a very subdued person. I am a listener but find I am a talker with the right people.
Lifestyle preferences:

Other lifestyle choices:
I enjoy male energy and would be interested in living with men or women or a happy couple who would enjoy having someone quiet but engaged in their space. I am straight but GLBT homeowners particularly males may be a good fit for me. I enjoy male energy if is not testosterone based . I also like being around women. I am interested in being in a household that is busy, active and happy where people are genuine and seek fulfillment in their lives. I am okay with GLBT and 420 friendly. I am pretty easy to get along with but would probably have a problem with people in recovery since they may be sorting some other things out as well.

I have two grown daughters and a 13 year old stepdaughter. My eldest daughter recently moved to Portland and my younger daughter lives in Michigan. On occasion I will have my eldest daughter for an overnight visit. I enjoy cooking and visiting with my daughters on occasion and catching up. All my daughters are respectful and enjoyable to be around. I would like to entertain on occasion. I don't generally have other overnight guests but would like to consider that with prior arrangements. I am conscious of others spaces.
Children:
I like children around
What irritates or annoys you?:
Cynicism. Talkers but not listeners. Loud, brash people who are not mindful of others. Lack of communication. People who are dramatic or 'dumpers'. People who are boring or unfulfilled in their lives with no sense of purpose. Clutter. Messy crowded spaces. Trashy yards. Pets who jump or are not trained. Constant complaining.
What would your best friend say are your most wonderful character traits?:
I am a introvert but those who know me recognize I am of a solid heart. I am an old soul who enjoys sharing my space with others who are passionate about their lives overall. I am a people cheerleader who recognizes strengths and weaknesses and works at being encouraging and positive. I like to make lemons out of lemonade. I am very flexible and capable of looking a things from a variety of perspectives. Seeks substance over superficiality I am sincere and truthful. I have a stoic personality, a wicked sense of humor and a penchant for seeking the silver lining. I recognize what people 'need' and make every attempt to be mindful. A problem solver who likes to be proactive rather than reactive. I am non-plussed and even tempered. it used to be called gravitas: i don't know what they call it now..but a wonderfilled interior lies beneath.
What would your best friend say are your most challenging character traits?:
Spending too much time working and being distracted out of the 'present' Always putting other people first, though I am working on that part of my life. A friend suggested Landmark training may be a good fit for me at this juncture of my life. Sometimes I need to be drawn out of my shell: I am not withdrawn, but most likely thinking about something. Being a problem solver I am most likely thinking about a solution to something.
What have you done in your life that was most rewarding?:
It would take much more space than this allows to talk about that. Lets get together to talk about your rewarding life and mine.
What brings you great joy?:
Creating things. Finding solutions. Making forward progress. Helping others. Crafting home. Flowers. Water. Rock hunting. Cooking. Friendship. community. Willingness to change and be the change. Outdoor fires. Clear starry skies. Genuine people. The JOURNEY is AS important to me as the Destination.
Entertainment/Hobbies
Comments:
Rock hunting. Gardening. Swimming. Sewing. I like to travel though don't do much of it; I would like to do much more. Drawing, painting, letter writing. Making home spaces warm and inviting. Cooking for pleasure or entertaining. Photography. Photo collage. Papier Mache. Making something wonderful out of found objects. I have a variety of interests; most of them are solitary pursuits though I do enjoy doing things with others. I also conduct the Let's Share Housing interviews on Blog Talk Radio, so I have a lot of insight about the shared housing realm. I want to make marionettes and enjoy puppet theatre. I want to learn how to windsurf, sailboat and sailboard. I would like to spend more time on the water; i grew up on the great lakes and enjoy warm water and beaches. I would like to learn to dance.
Other
Comments:
I need an internet connection for my work. I'd like to also be able to have some art studio space available, whether a corner of my personal living space or outside of the space, on property. It feels pretty important to have that at this point. A good match for me would be someone who has a good idea about boundaries, likes to cook or entertain, is not lazy and likes to be engaged in life. If you are passionate about what you do that would be a plus. If you are self employed or building a small business and need a part time assistant (2-3 hours weekly) I would be a good fit since I am interested in bartering in exchange for a portion of my rent. I most likely would NOT be a good fit for someone who NEEDs the extra income but is sincerely looking for a helpmate and housemate. If you travel and are hoping to find someone to keep the home fires burning while away, I would also be a good match. I used to say I must have been a reincarnated from a butler, gentlemans' gentleman or one of the round table knights. I can arrange all the bits for entertaining, creating home and the logistics associated with an executive lifestyle. I would like to have access to a large kitchen or some storage for some of my catering materials (mostly platters, knives, a large cutting board and a food processor). If you have beautiful serving vessels, I already love you! I am hoping to find something long term that is sunny and warm. I am a coffee drinker. I would like to live in a happy household without a lot of emotional drama. Being GENUINE is very important to me.
